Alameda Independent Mobility (AIM)

211 Transportation partners with the City of Alameda to schedule subsidized Uber rides through the Alameda Independent Mobility (AIM) program. As our most active transportation service, 211 acts as a concierge—helping riders book sameday trips within Alameda County. The program serves lowincome Alameda residents who are enrolled in East Bay Paratransit.

If you have questions about this program or would like to enroll, Click here – Alameda Connect | City of Alameda to learn more about the City of Alameda’s paratransit resources.

Ride United

When funding is available, 211 partners with United Way Worldwide’s Ride United: An Innovative Solution to Transportation Gaps | United Way Worldwide to provide eligible callers with free Lyft rides for essential needs—including medical appointments, groceries, food pantries, prescription pickups, vaccinations, and school.

These rides are offered only when no other transportation options are available, ensuring that individuals facing the greatest barriers can still reach critical services.
