Description

Provides low-cost rides for eligible seniors and individuals with disabilities. Rides are within Fremont, Newark and Union City. Ride-On Tri-City! Transportation services include: Ride-Hailing services. Services are through Lyft app. Offers same-day, on demand, curb-to-curb transportation (not wheelchair accessible. Wheelchair Accessible Van (WAV) service. Offers accessible rides for individuals using wheelchairs or needing door-to-door assistance.Please note: Will offer additional services during Public Safety Power Shutoffs (PSPS) and Disasters. The City has an established MOU with PG&E to provide a facility (i. e., parking lot) at Fremont Central Park (Stevenson Blvd. side) for a PG&E Community Resource Center.

Program information

Eligibility: Must be:Fremont, Union City, Newark residents over 70 years of age and older OR Fremont, Union City, or Newark resident who has a disability or health condition that prevents the use of public transportation (buses and BART).
Program Fee: Rider fares for travel within Fremont, Newark and Union City:Wheelchair Accessible Van: Rider pays $4 per one-way trip Ride Hailing: Rider pays first $4 of all rides up to $16 and any additional fare over $20.
