Eligibility
Must have a significant (and verifiable) reason for owing past due rent. Must have sustainable income to afford the monthly rent on their own if a tenant owes back rent. For deposit and first month assistance: if the unit is under section 8, it must pass inspection first before they can get help with deposit/first month. Must have landlord information and require caller to have made payment arrangements with them in writing. Only accepts a payment arrangement from the landlord. Can't skip rent to make another payment.Can not assist those with an unlawful detainer or 3 day notice.
Fees
No fee to apply. May be required to pay current rent for a couple months on their own before receiving back rental assistance (including the additional payment agreement amount).
