Eligibility
Adoptive parent must be resident of Alameda County.
Fees
No fee for natural parents of child. $500 for agency adoption (fee often waived for relatives or foster parents adopting children that they already care for); $700 stepparent adoption $4500 independent adoption.
How to Apply
Call for intake. Must arrange for written application and interviews. Applications for adoption are provided to families after attending an orientation session and completion of foster and adoptive parent training.
