For Clients of the Alameda Probation Department

The Alameda County Probation Department (ACPD) recognizes the numerous challenges that our clients and their families face in finding and maintaining a place to live in the Bay Area. With this awareness in mind, ACPD is committed to helping our clients find safe and affordable housing opportunities.

ACPD pays a variety of community-based organizations to provide specialized and subsidized services especially designated for clients of the Probation Department. For clients in need of housing, ACPD contracts with three (3) Transitional Housing providers, two (2) Shelter/Services providers, and three (3) Housing Assistance providers or programs that you may be eligible for.

If you are a client of the ACPD and in need of housing, this is the best place for you to start. Please contact your Probation Officer for assistance with determining eligibility for these housing programs and applying for opportunities. Call 510-268-7050 to be connected to the Officer of the Day, if you do not have an assigned Deputy Probation Officer.

2-1-1 Alameda County, is a comprehensive information and referral service that assists all community members in obtaining information about, as well as gaining access to, community resources, including housing. If you are a client of the ACPD in need of housing, you may also find good information and opportunities here that are not specific to Probation Department clients. If you are in need of assistance with determining eligibility and applying for these opportunities, please contact your Probation Officer.
